Course Description:
An introduction to several forms of the Fine Arts; including
Dance, Film, Music, Painting,
Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and
Theatre.

You will need a flash drive or
similar media to save assignments on. |

Prerequisites:
You will need access to a computer with an Internet Browser and a word
processing program to type
up reports, etc., preferably Microsoft WORD.
Since KCC computers have only Microsoft Word 20007, please convert
other word processing programs such as Works or Word Perfect to either
WORD 2003 or 2007,
Rich Text Format or a PDF.

Grading
Policies:
Withdrawal: Any student may withdraw from a
class based on the dates established when the student registered.
Please check with the Records office to check your withdrawal date if
you are considering withdrawal.
Incomplete: A student will be issued an
incomplete when course work cannot be completed due to extenuating
circumstances (medical problems, hospitalization, death in family,
etc.). The remaining course requirements must
be completed by the end
of the next semester. An incomplete must be prearranged with
your instructor.
Grades for HUMA 150 will be figured on a point
basis.
Points will be given for the following
activities:
- Participation in discussions 150
- Experience Report 180
- Web Assignments 300
- Community Calendar 100
- Quizzes 120
- Final Exam 150
Assignments are not accepted late so check your
due dates given with each assignment carefully.

General Policies:
- All e-mails must include your first and
last name.
Don't assume I will know who
badboy444@hotmail.com is.
- Please try to be consistent using the same
e-mail address.
- Work is not accepted late.
(computer problems and electrical outages are not excuses,
plan to
complete an assignment 2 days ahead of schedule to allow for any
unforeseen problems.)
- Since there is no attendance requirement,
it is imperative that you participate in the discussions
weekly and
complete the web assignments on time.
- Should any problems arise, e-mail me at
staleyb@kellogg.edu as soon
as possible to work out a solution.

Student Responsibilities:
- The student is responsible to read all
announcements that are posted for the course.
- The student is responsible for checking and
knowing due dates for all assignments.
- The student is responsible for informing
the instructor of any special circumstances that
might occur which
would give the student extended time for completing work.
- Students are responsible for e-mailing
their instructor with questions or concerns.

Instructor Responsibilities:
- The instructor is responsible to provide
the student with support for questions concerning
the material
covered in the course.
- The instructor is responsible for posting
grades in a timely manner.

Course Goals: Upon completion of this course students
will have a better understanding and appreciation of the Fine Arts.
